Obtains, collects, labels and transports various laboratory specimens to appropriate laboratory sections, under supervision. Performs a limited number of basic laboratory procedures. Operates the laboratory information system.
Formal Education Required:
-High school graduate or equivalent.
Experience & Training Required:
-Six months phlebotomy experience.
-Completion of Phlebotomy or Medical Assistant Program (MA) or equivalent, with certificate, preferred.
Other Skills, Competencies and Qualifications:
-Manual dexterity sufficient to manipulate phlebotomy equipment, other specimen equipment and laboratory computer equipment
