What makes Larock Healthcare Academy’s Phlebotomy Technician Program unique?
Well, that’s a great question! Larock Healthcare Academy’s Phlebotomy Technician program is unique because of several factors, including exceeding industry standards, on-campus certification, and career services guidance. Let’s start by saying that Larock exceeds industry standards in more ways than one.
Exceeding Industry Standards
How does Larock’s Phlebotomy program exceed industry standards?
- Larock provides each student with up to 100 opportunities to practice the technique of drawing blood, allowing for plenty of hands on practice. Many employers will not even consider you for a position if you do not meet this growing industry expectation.
- Larock will only allow up to 12 students in a class at any given time. If in the rare case we allow more than 12, there will be more than 1 instructor to ensure every student receives the personal assistance and one-on-one attention they deserve.
- Receive multiple certificates for reaching the 100 stick club, graduating from the program, and having perfect attendance. These certificates are great for any resume/portfolio!
Within the Phlebotomy Program, you will obtain the knowledge in a wide variety of subjects such as: Medical terminology, physiology & anatomy! The program is mostly made up of direct phlebotomy experience in areas that include, but are not limited to: Venipuncture, pediatric phlebotomy, sterile techniques and much more!
Larock Healthcare Academy’s Phlebotomy program is approved by the the National Healthcareer Association (NHA). Larock’s program prepares students for the exam to become national certified. Test preparation and actual testing take place at the Larock Healthcare Academy facility. Becoming a Certified Phlebotomy Technician gives you the added healthcare credential, CPT, behind your name. This provides you with an extra advantage over other candidates seeing employment.
Larock Healthcare Academy’s Phlebotomy Technician Program is designed specifically to gain employment after graduation and in many cases while you’re still in school! But what do we do to ensure that happens?
Larock offers career assistance that includes help with cover letter writing, resume writing, and job interviewing. We also have a Job Board that is regularly updated to ensure you are aware of opportunities in the field.
I hope by now you understand that Larock does these many things for one purpose… your success! Remember, your success is our success and we plan for you to be very successful.
